Oxonian Knowledge is our name for the ideas, perspectives and practical insights we share at Oxford Executive Institute.
But first, what exactly does Oxonian mean?
It’s a word with more than one meaning. Dictionaries use Oxonian both for someone associated with the University of Oxford and for a native or inhabitant of Oxford.
For Oxonian Knowledge, it is that second meaning that matters to us.
Our use of Oxonian is about Oxford the city — a city we are proud to be part of and one that has long been a meeting place for people, ideas and conversations.
For us, it captures something we value about the wider city: curiosity, reading, questioning, conversation and the exchange of ideas.
But knowledge should never stay in one place.
That is why Oxonian Knowledge looks outward. We share perspectives on leadership, business, technology, energy and the changing world of work, drawing on the experiences and ideas of practitioners, thinkers and organisations from around the world.
Think of it as our open notebook: a place for useful ideas, thoughtful questions and, occasionally, a different way of looking at something familiar.
It begins with a sense of place, but not with boundaries.
Oxford is our home. Curiosity is our spirit. The world is our conversation.
